Zach Butler is a Spokane drummer who has played percussion since 5th grade, and has had a lifetime passion for music and the artistry behind it.

Throughout his time at Mountainside Middle School, Zach learned to play many percussion instruments and became fascinated as he associated sounds from his favorite music with instruments he could learn to play. At Mt. Spokane High School, Zach participated in the top Jazz and concert bands, and played percussion for choirs, marching, and other bands around the school. At this same time, Zach was a guest director who taught 5th and 6th grade percussion. At Washington State University, Zach majored in HR and Finance but stayed involved in several concert bands, and filled in for jazz and marching gigs when able. In his spare time, Zach curates his vast music collection, and practices audio engineering and graphic design.

Zach loves any and all music, and prides himself on diverse tastes in music and beyond. Throughout all of these, Zach focuses on keeping an open mind in all facets of life. Sharing and teaching a genuine love of music to others is one of Zach's strongest passions, and he believes that sharing and creating music is one of the most powerful ways to form connections.
