Teige Koerper started his high school career in music originally as a percussionist often playing bells for the Orchestra at the Oaks Classical Christian School. Since then, he has since transferred schools and further expanded on his interest in music. He has played the xylophone in the Mt. Spokane High School marching band, played bass guitar during worship services at Whitworth Church, has played the drum set with the pep band at Saint George’s School, as well as auxiliary percussion for their chamber choir at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow. Now, heading into his senior year of high school, Teige hopes to be able to continue this interest in instrumental music in several ways, whether continuing these opportunities, or possibly seeking other methods of performing. In the future, however, his interests will likely take him in a different direction as he hopes to study another interest of his, sports analytics or management in college, but he wishes that during that time he can find ways to continue to perform in order to pursue both his love of music and sports. Teige is very glad to have these opportunities to play bass and is hopeful that he can continue to follow such interests in the future.
