Logan is an orchestral and marching percussionist. A native of Santa Barbara, California, he draws on his experience in both the marching and orchestral disciplines for inspiration in his original compositions, improvisation, and his performance. The high school marching world gave Logan his initial percussion experience. As a marching Quads/Snare player, he is an alumnus of City Sound Drum and Bugle Corps, Gold Drum and Bugle Corps, Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps, the Boston University Terriers Marching Band, and the Riverside City College Marching Tigers. Logan has appeared in concert with numerous groups, including the Gonzaga University Orchestra, Seattle Festival Orchestra; the Riverside City College Wind and Percussion Ensembles; the University of Washington Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, and Percussion Ensembles, and the 2023 Northwest Mahler Festival. He was also a founding member of the Seattle modern improvisatory percussion group, Kairos. Logan studied orchestral percussion at Riverside City College from 2017-2019 under Jason Goodman and Steven Schmidt. Moving to Boston, he studied orchestral percussion full time under Eric Huber. In his spare time, Logan enjoys building scale aircraft models, riding, wrenching on, and racing his motorcycles, playing guitar, and wine tasting.
